PGA National Resort with Kids – UpDown Review

Guest post by Joe Stanley

Review: SIX OUT OF TEN STROLLERS

The title is absolutely correct.  This is clearly a resort, and the main focus is on golf not kids. Unless your kids play golf. The lobby is expansive with golf and the main pool area the main attractions. Look for sun and fun but few child-focused activities.  Service is not particularly impressive.  Golf for older children, a large pool full of tourists and members with children – think balls being thrown a few feet from your infant. Fitness center good and undergoing a massive renovation in 2015.

Address: 400 Avenue of the Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418

Inside: Large resort hotel with a big pool surrounded by red umbrellas overlooking the famous PGA National Golf course. Fine dining, lobby bar, coffee shop, post golf restaurant.

Comfort with Kids: Lots of kids here mainly around the large pool area. Coming down from the snowy North it would be a dream. It is comfortable enough with kids but not geared for them particularly. If your older children love golf this is a great place.

The food: Steak salad at iBar is great, fine dining option extremely expensive, post golf restaurant not particularly good but fine for beer and hotdogs. Some kids meals, mostly of a chicken and burger variety.
