On our cross-country trip, we visited another type of restaurant we don’t frequent at home: fast food places. Mostly this was due to the bathrooms, and ease of grabbing something quickly on the road. If at 8pm, and the choice is a truck stop with your kids or a drive through McDee’s, we go with the fast food. Then try to make up for it down the line with semi-healthy farm to table style joints in a small town.
Here is a McDonald’s in Burlington, CO, with a truck outside the window. It was clean and nice and the staff were friendly. We cannot say this about all fast food places. Some were horrendous, so this was a treat.
