In .58 seconds Google registered over 13,600,000 hits for this very title. So it’s not an original concept. But you’ve thought about it- your boy or girl likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and hey- you had fun the last time you traveled with friends to run a Disney Race, maybe airfares are cheap. Why not travel to the crown jewel of the Mouse’s kingdom, Walt Disney World in sunny Orlando, Florida?
Our recommendation? Go for it… but if you have a toddler who wants to run, jump and roam? Don’t spend your money on the parks just yet. The days will come when rides are the thing and rooms don’t really matter. But its been our experience that for the toddler phase the reverse is true. So spend those hard earned Disney dollars on one of Disney’s fabulous deluxe resorts. Our recommendation? Disney’s Beach Club. The deluxe resorts have amenities that are almost park like- character breakfasts, onsite dining options from quick service to more formal eateries, and plenty of places to run, jump and roam. Large grounds, playspaces and huge themed pools separate these resorts from the value or moderate level choices. The rooms (where you will be spending that oh so valuable nap time) are clean and well apportioned for a real crib or toddler bed, both available at the Deluxe Resorts. The resorts near Epcot are kid friendly but have great access to non-park adult restaurants and experiences- stroller nap with margaritas anyone?
