1. Eat: Pinstripes
We are consistently fans of this national chain restaurant/bowling alley and its Chicago outpost did not dissapoint. The premise is simple; bowling sounds drown out hungry children sounds. Sit on the deck on Wednesday and Sunday evenings to see the fireworks from Navy Pier with superior food and drink. With bowling specials for the kiddos- check out Toddler Tuesday’s- and a nice menu, Pinstripes is a nice choice near the pier.
2. Play: Navy Pier Ferris Wheel
With sweeping views of the Chicago Skyline, the Ferris wheel catapults you above the crowds. Very fun.
3. Learn: Chicago Children’s Museum
Why aren’t there adult museum’s like this? You’ll have to restrain yourself from taking over the incredibly fun exhibits at the Chicago Children’s Museum. It’s three floors of hands on learning with activities geared for children of all ages. Make the next computer in the tinkering lab, climb through the enchanted forest (5 and under) and discover the next old thing at the dinosaur dig site.
